Never has a book been more aptly titled than this one! It means what it says on the cover. It really is a course in how to enjoy miraculous change in your life.
The Course speaks to the heart of what we human beings long for the most - to feel wholly loved & wholly loving. It is a radical book, which asks us to question every belief we have about life, reality, the universe, the Creator & ourselves.
This makes it quite a wild ride. My favourite line from the movie, The Matrix, always comes to mind: 'Buckle up Dorothy, Kansas is going bye-bye!'
With psychology at its core, the Course says that the world we experience is created by our perception. This is always essentially the simple choice of thinking either with love or with fear.
The perception we choose is then seen outside - through the process of projection from our mind - creating a world that reflects our core beliefs. This means the world we seem to be experiencing is entirely governed by our choices. Believing is seeing!
So transforming our thoughts from fear-based to being guided by loving-kindness will change our life and our world. The willingness to shift the focus towards love and forgiveness will ultimately return our minds to perfect peace and happiness.
With my hand on my heart, I can honestly say that this amazing book has changed my life, my relationships and my sense of purpose. Even more amazingly, it has radically changed my relationship with God. I've gone from disbelief and resentment, to gentle, often mystical, experiences of divine love. No wonder it's called A Course in Miracles!!
